Good afternoon Sister Pauline, Dr Harfitt, Mr Chow, Mr Pang, Ms Yu, teachers, and fellow schoolmates. It is my honour to be here today and pledge my service to the Central Board for this academic year.

Standing on this stage, I recall myself sitting in the audience as a junior Hoper five years ago, witnessing the pinning ceremony of the new student leaders. They have inspired me to become the leader I am today and take every opportunity with confidence and courage. Five years later, this responsibility lies on my shoulders, with the weight of the new pin on my tie reminding me of the gravity of my role as the Head Girl.

The past 5 years in Good Hope have been enriching and insightful, equipping me and the 10 incoming excos here today to become capable young leaders of tomorrow. Today, the 11 of us embark on a new journey, wearing a new set of uniform, ready to embrace new responsibilities with excitement mixed with a little nervousness. After a period of online learning, we finally get to resume our face-to-face lessons. Although we can only smile under our masks, the overflowing joy of being able to meet one another is apparently felt. I will cherish these precious moments and guide my team to unleash our full potential in brightening up your school life. New responsibilities inevitably come with new challenges, but with the continuous support from the school now and always, we will be sure to overcome them in unity with anticipation, bearing with us the four core values of love, hope, joy and thanksgiving.

With that being said, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the Good Hope Family. Thank you, Sr. Pauline, Dr Harfitt, Mr Chow, Mr Pang, Ms Yu, and the School Leadership team for entrusting me with this duty to serve the school as the Head Girl this year. I would also like to sincerely thank my teachers and schoolmates for your tremendous support which fuels our passion and growth. A huge thank you should also be given to Asteria for your selfless dedication and for bringing us a remarkable year. We promise to carry on your devotion to service and legacy. Last but not least, to my 10 incoming teammates and sub-committee members, let us cooperate well, work together and reach new heights.

I hereby pledge on behalf of Central Board 2022-2023 to serve the school and the student body with passion and determination. We commit to learning and improving along the way, bringing the best out of us to serve. Let us create a vibrant school year with a blueprint of optimism and triumph. Thank you and God bless.
